Editorial Policy
Transparency in how we research, fact-check, and publish content for creators.
Our Commitment to Quality
AspectToolkit is committed to providing accurate, practical, and trustworthy content for creators, designers, and developers. Every tool description, dimension guide, comparison, and recommendation on this site is based on hands-on testing and real-world experience — not theoretical specifications or third-party manufacturer claims.
How Our Content Is Researched
Our content creation follows a rigorous research and testing process:
- Primary Source Verification: We begin by reading the official developer documentation and API changelogs provided by platforms (e.g., Meta for Business, LinkedIn Engineering blogs).
- Real-World Upload Testing: Documentation is often outdated or incomplete. Before we publish an "ideal image size," we physically create a test image, upload it to the platform from both mobile and desktop clients, and inspect the resulting DOM to see exactly how the platform compressed and cropped the asset.
- Cross-Browser Validation: For our browser-based tools, outputs are tested across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge to ensure consistent behavior of the HTML5 Canvas API.
AI Use Policy & Human Verification
Our Stance on AI
We use Large Language Models (LLMs) as research assistants to aggregate data and outline content structures. However, every single technical specification, code snippet, platform dimension, and final paragraph published on this site is 100% human-written and verified by an expert.
We do not publish "raw" AI-generated articles. We believe that while AI is an excellent tool for organizing thoughts, it hallucinates facts—which is unacceptable when providing technical specifications for a creator's workflow. If an article says Instagram crops at 4:5, it is because a human tested it, not because a language model predicted it.
Accuracy, Fact-Checking & Corrections
We strive for absolute accuracy but recognize that social media platforms change their specifications via silent A/B tests, and web standards evolve.
If you find incorrect information on AspectToolkit, please contact us with the details. We treat dimension reports like bug reports: we will investigate, run a new upload test, and correct the issue promptly. When corrections are made, the article's modification date is updated.
Update Frequency
The digital landscape moves fast. We review and update our content on a strict schedule:
- Tool Interfaces & Logic: Reviewed and tested quarterly against new browser engine releases.
- Social Media Dimension Guides: Reviewed biannually (every 6 months) or immediately when a major platform announces a UI overhaul.
- Technical Blog Posts: Reviewed annually.
