Testing Methodology

Every tool and guide on AspectToolkit is verified against real platform behavior — not spec sheets or documentation alone. My testing process includes:

  1. Platform Verification: Upload test images to each platform at various dimensions to confirm how they are displayed, cropped, and compressed.
  2. Cross-Browser Testing: Verify tool behavior across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on both desktop and mobile.
  3. File Size Analysis: Measure actual compression ratios across formats and quality settings using real-world images rather than synthetic test patterns.
  4. Safe Zone Mapping: Systematically identify which areas of each platform's UI overlay cover uploaded content.
  5. Performance Benchmarking: Measure processing time, memory usage, and output quality across different device types and browser engines.

Why I Built AspectToolkit

I built AspectToolkit because every image tool I found online shared the same problems: they uploaded files to unknown servers, bombarded users with ads, required account creation, or imposed artificial limits on free usage.

I believed there was a better way. By processing images entirely in the browser using the HTML5 Canvas API, I could create tools that are instant, private, and free — no uploads, no accounts, no data collection. What started as a single aspect ratio calculator has grown into a comprehensive suite serving thousands of creators daily.
